Episode Guide

The TV Guide summaries and a few comments from me. I don't think there are any major spoilers on this page. For a few of the episodes Wolf Films has created spoiler-filled summaries. I reformatted them and added them to my page. Just remember that I wasn't the one that wrote them. Eventually I may write some for the other episodes. . .maybe.
"Pilot" -- 10/17/1997

*****

"Con Law" -- 10/24/1997
The trio meets its new FBI contact (Mia Korf) in L.A. and is asked to gather evidence against a high-priced defense attorney (Xander Berkeley) who often works outside the law. -- TV Guide

The guys go to L.A. to help with a case and end up staying. Much to the initial display of Agent Kowalski.

*****

"In Concert" -- 10/31/1997
After an investigation into bootleg CDs reveals murders, Ice (Ice-T) poses as a country singer, Charlie as his manager, and Alphonse as a photographer. Glen Campbell has a cameo. -- TV Guide

Ice invents a new music style, "Redneck Rap". He becomes the latest musical sensation. Decide for yourself if this is something society needs. :)

*****

"Con Artist" -- 11/07/1997
Ice (Ice-T) poses as a thief in order to catch an art-gallery owner whose lucrative sideline is selling stolen masterpieces. And Alphonse (Costas Mandylor) pretends to be the man's latest customer. -- TV Guide

One of the few episodes where Chris actually participates in the con.

*****

"Contact Sport" -- 11/14/1997
Assigned to crack a counterfeiting ring, the trio takes a curcuitous route involving car hijacking, basketball-game betting and high stakes golf matches with Ice (Ice-T) as a duffer. -- TV Guide

One of the longest routes from point A to point B; the Players definitely did not walk in a straight line.

*****

"Con Amore" -- 11/22/1997
In order to thwart a major arms dealer, Ice (Ice-T) and his cohorts (Costas Mandylor, Frank John Hughes) team up with one of his ex-partners, whom he calls "the best con artist I ever met." -- TV Guide

Ex-partner/ex-girlfriend, Laura is the most annoying con artist I've ever seen on tv.

*****

"Rashocon" -- 12/05/1997
The trio (Ice-T, Costas Mandylor, Frank John Hughes) is arrested following an armored-truck robbery in which $5 million was stolen; and each gives his perspective of how and why the theft was arranged. -- TV Guide

I didn't expect the ending (even when I watched it for the second time).

*****

"Three of a Con" -- 12/12/1997
An elaborate scheme to get retribution from a man who cheated a group of small investors (one of whom was Ice's aunt) involves a high-stakes poker game. -- TV Guide

I'd like to know how many of the "problems" Charlie expected (and how many he didn't).

*****

"Mint Condition" -- 01/02/1998
The trio (Ice-T, Costas Mandylor, Frank John Hughes) engineers a scam involving a baseball trading-card valued at $200,000 in order to catch a mobster and his henchman. -- TV Guide

Charlie's dad plays some interesting cons. Why have the original at all if you never plan on selling it.

*****

"Confidence Man" -- 01/09/1998
Ice, Alphonse and Charlie get a helping hand from one of their old con-artist partners as they target a New Age television guru who is ripping off his gullible followers. -- TV Guide

Enter Corky Summons. Unlike some of their friends in previous episodes I thought Corky was great. She should have guest starred in more than one episode.

*****

"Con-traband" -- 10/16/1998
After a deal to purchase illegal weapons is thwarted. Chris (Mia Korf) is kidnapped by one of the criminals and the gang has to try and rescue her. -- TV Guide

Charlie gets to masquerade as an FBI agent to get Ice out of jail.

*****

"Con-tinental" -- 03/06/1998
The trio (Ice-T, Costas Mandylor, Frank John Hughes) tries to get the goods on brother-and sister fashion designers who give drugs to models and are involved with illegal garment workers. -- TV Guide

Another episode where Chris gets to help with the con. Ice gets a girlfriend.

*****

"Wrath of Con" -- 03/13/1998
A killer (John Saint Ryan) murders two guards while escaping, then the judge who sentenced him is found dead, so the trio tries to protect the woman (Michelle Stafford) whose testimony had sent him to prison. -- TV Guide

An episode with an interesting twist.

*****

"Con-Strained" -- 03/13/1998
The trio attempts to catch two kidnappers who have taken the son of a man who's estranged from his mobster father; and Alphonse (Costas Mandylor) agrees to deliver the ransom. -- TV Guide

Alphonse the accountant. (You know stereotypes aren't nice, even for accountants.) :)

*****

"Conspiracy" -- 03/27/1998
While investigating a "billion-dollar" racket involving bootlegged gasoline, the trio discovers that there's a leak at the FBI and tries to find the agent who's working with the mob. -- TV Guide

You know, if this series is anything to base your opinion on, half of the FBI is crooked. :)

*****

"Contamination" -- 04/03/1998
The trio tries to prevent the release of a deadly powder that will within three blocks if $100 million isn't transferred to a foreign bank account by noon the next day. -- TV Guide

A great Charlie episode. This is one of my favorites. (I wonder why.) :)

*****

"Conundrum" -- Only aired on the West Coast in the U.S.
It's learned that the hit on a college student was ordered by the "dragon lady" CEO of a software manufacturer, so Royo (Costas Mandylor) poses as a programmer to catch her. -- TV Guide

According to NBC Charlie posed as the computer programmer. Later, for some reason, she hires Alphonse as an assassin (poor Charlie). And Charlie doesn't get the girl - again. :(

*****

"Con-Vivants" -- Only aired on the West Coast in the U.S.
The paroled trio returns to New York where Ice tries to reform a young thief; Alphonse fights with his son's drug supplier; and Charlie tries to stop an insurance scam. -- TV Guide

(my comments)
