"Con Law"

Summary by Wolf Films Production.

LOG LINE:

The Players team up with their new Los Angeles FBI contact, Agent Chris Kowalski, in order to put a corrupt defense attorney out of business.

SYNOPSIS:

The Players first Los Angeles assignment is to bring down Marcus Flint, a corrupt defense attorney who uses bribery and evidence tampering to gain acquittals for his clients. Flint's latest case involves Jay Bagley, a man accused of murder whose murder weapon, a Colt .32, disappears. Ice is purposely arrested for heroin smuggling in order to hire Flint as his attorney and expose his corrupt practices.

Charlie acts as the only eyewitness to Ice's "arrest" and is approached by Flint not to testify against him in exchange for cash. The plan back fires and Charlie is in turn arrested for trying to solicit a bribe. While in prison, Ice and Charlie run across Jay Bagley, who admits that Flint is fixing his case.

The Players set up an elaborate sting which involves Alphonse posing as an eccentric plaintiff suing Flint in small claims court and the planting of a Colt .32 in Flint's house. Once again, the Players plan backfires leaving Flint in the clear, but still under suspicion. Bagley is released on bail and goes to see Flint. Bagley, fearing that Flint will give him up, threatens to take Flint down with him. Flint murders Bagley, making it look like an apparent suicide.

The Players set yet another trap for Flint involving his cellular phone records the night of the murder and a fake trial hearing in which Ice incorporates the help of an old jail buddy to play the judge. Flint unknowingly incriminates himself and is arrested for the murder of Jay Bagley.
