"In Concert"

Summary by Wolf Films Production.

Log Line:

The "Players" attempt to stop the crooked deals and murderous ways of the owner of a top country record label.

Synopsis:

Ice, Alphonse, and Charlie are assigned to break up a ring of bootleggers selling copies of country albums. In a sting operation that brings down the front man, the team learns that the corruption goes much deeper; all the way to the president of Scorpius Records, Dell Cavanaugh.

Cavanaugh's main source of income, both legal and illegal, comes from Jesse Dalton, a country music star killed in a plane crash several years before. Cavanaugh's reputation as "someone who can make you a star" also attracts Sarah Grace, a rising star in country music.

Ice poses as country music's newest sensation, Cool McCall, in order to get close to Cavanaugh. Cavanaugh is impressed by Ice's talent and offers him a contract to get him into the business. Realizing he has no talent for country music, Ice blend country and rap to produce "Redneck Rap", a style that puts him on the track for stardom.

The team discoveries that Cavanaugh killed Jesse Dalton to "make him an even bigger star". They also learn that Cavanaugh plans to do the same to Ice and Sarah in order to reap the profits from their albums. Fortunately, plans go awry and the attempted murder plot fails. The "Players" confront Cavanaugh at the supposed funeral for Sarah and Ice. They are accompanied by Jesse Dalton who had faked his death. Cavanaugh is exposed and the crime is solved.
